The MicroFIT program introduced by the Ontario Power Authority is a great way to help the environment while potentially providing you with a good return on your investment. Installed correctly, a solar power PV (PhotoVoltaic) panel system will collect light from the sun and convert, or more correctly "invert", that light energy into electricity. Under the MicroFIT program, you will be paid a guaranteed price over a 20-year term for all the electricity you produce and deliver to the province's electricity grid. Complete details about the MicroFIT program and conditions are available from the OPA Site. Before installation, do your homework. Aside from the program, the practical and successful installation of a solar power system depends on many aspects being carefully considered including: PV panel and inverter selection, correct panel orientation or tracker usage to maximize collection, experience of the installer with electrical components and their future availability to maintain and repair these systems. After you decide to apply to the program, we would like to speak with you because we can help you understand your equipment options and their respective warranties, while providing you with a full and accurate quote so you understand the scope and costs associated with your project now and in the future.
